Dubois man pleads guilty to child sex charges, sentencing set for May 27
A Dubois man admitted seven child-related felony counts in a deal that calls for eight years in prison and four years of probation before May 27 sentencing.

Christopher E. Wilson, 51, of Dubois, pleaded guilty Tuesday to seven child-related felony counts in a plea agreement that calls for eight years at the Indiana Department of Correction, followed by four years of supervised probation.
Wilson entered guilty pleas to one count of vicarious sexual conduct, two counts of child solicitation, three counts of dissemination of matter harmful to minors and one count of child sex abuse material. The pleas were taken under advisement, and sentencing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. May 27 in Dubois Circuit Court.
The agreement resolves a serious criminal case that will keep Wilson under state supervision long after any prison term ends. An eight-year sentence, paired with probation, means the court would not be finished with the case when Wilson leaves prison. The probation period would place him back under judicial oversight in the community for four more years.

For Dubois County families, the charge list is a reminder that cases involving minors move through the local court system in stages, often through plea agreements before a final sentence is imposed. In this case, the outcome now turns to the judge in Dubois Circuit Court, where the prison term and probationary supervision will be finalized later this month.
