Jasper Arts Features 8-Year-Old Artist Battling Inoperable Brain Tumor
Cora Rose Hopf, 8, diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, will have her artwork displayed at Jasper's Thyen-Clark Cultural Center March 16–29.

An 8-year-old Jasper-area girl diagnosed last year with an inoperable brain tumor will have her artwork displayed at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center beginning March 16, with Jasper Arts presenting the two-week exhibit as a tribute to her resilience and creativity.
The exhibit, running through March 29, 2026, is described by Jasper Arts as "a heartfelt and inspiring art exhibit dedicated to a very special artist, Cora Rose Hopf." The Thyen-Clark Cultural Center is located at 100 3rd Ave. in Jasper.
Cora's diagnosis has not dimmed her artistic drive. According to the Jasper Arts announcement, "through every challenge and every up and down, her love for art has never faded. In fact, it shines..."

The short-run exhibit marks a rare instance of Jasper Arts centering its gallery space entirely around the work of a single child artist, offering the broader Dubois County community a chance to experience the creative voice of someone navigating one of the most difficult medical circumstances a young person can face. Details on daily exhibit hours and admission have not been confirmed; visitors should contact Jasper Arts or the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center directly before making plans.
Jasper Arts has additional programming on the horizon. The organization's annual Chalk Walk Arts Festival will return to the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Jasper Arts is currently seeking food trucks and food vendors interested in participating in that event.
