Jasper Arts Opens Registration for Annual Chalk Walk Festival May 16
Jasper Arts opens Chalk Walk registration at $12 per person; register by April 27 for a free T-shirt ahead of the May 16 downtown festival.

Registration is open for Jasper Arts' annual Chalk Walk Arts Festival, set to take over downtown Jasper's sidewalks on Saturday, May 16, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. around the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center.
The $12-per-person registration fee covers a full day of activities, including hands-on chalk art, custom balloon art, tie-dye, arts and crafts, and access to an Arts Market featuring regional artists and crafters. Food trucks and food and beverage booths will also be on site, with proceeds from the latter benefiting local nonprofits.
Those who register by April 27 will receive an official Chalk Walk T-shirt at no extra charge. T-shirts will also be available for purchase on the day of the event for $8 while supplies last. Registration includes a drawstring bag with a box of chalk and items donated by local businesses.
"We're excited to open registration for Chalk Walk and welcome the community to be part of this event," said Kyle Rupert, Executive Director of Jasper Arts. "Chalk Walk is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to express themselves creatively while enjoying a fun day with family and friends."

Participants can register online at jasperarts.org/chalkwalk, download a form from the same site, or pick up a form in person at the Jasper Arts Center. Questions can be directed to Jasper Arts at 812-482-3070.
Vendors are still being accepted. Prospective Arts Market and community service vendors can contact Corina Mack at programcoord@jasperindiana.gov. Food vendors should reach Selena Vonderheide at 812-482-3609.
If severe weather forces a postponement, the rain date is Saturday, June 8.
