Patoka 2000 Seeks Donations to Fund Jasper Bridge Planters This Summer
Patoka 2000 opened its spring donation window for the Patoka River Bridge flower urns, with donor names set to appear in The Herald in mid-May and a summer deadline weeks away.

Patoka 2000, the beautification committee of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce, launched its spring donation drive for the live flower urns on the Patoka River Bridge, placing the planters that line downtown Jasper's eastern gateway directly in front of the community's busiest summer season.
The group cycles through three separate planting rounds each year: spring and summer blooms, fall chrysanthemums, and holiday and winter arrangements. Contributions from the current appeal fund plants, soil, fertilizer, and installation for the warm-weather portion of that schedule. The timing carries real commercial weight: Strassenfest, which draws more than 30,000 visitors to downtown Jasper each August, routes incoming traffic directly past the bridge corridor before attendees reach the festival grounds. This year's festival runs July 30 through August 2.
Donations of any amount are accepted, payable to Patoka 2000, and should be mailed to the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at P.O. Box 307, Jasper, Indiana 47547. Donors may designate contributions in honor of someone, in memory of a loved one, or as a tribute to a cause they care about. A compiled list of contributors and the individuals they name will be published in the Dubois County Herald in mid-May.

Funds flow through the Jasper Chamber, anchoring community contributions within an established organizational structure with direct ties to downtown's business community. Businesses interested in sponsoring a planter and individuals who want to participate in scheduled planting days can reach Patoka 2000 through the Chamber office.
The summer donation deadline falls in early May, leaving roughly four weeks from the campaign's launch for contributions to arrive before installation begins. Donors and prospective business sponsors should contact the Jasper Chamber of Commerce to confirm the specific cutoff date and ask about available sponsorship options.
