Cumming Farmers Market set for Saturday morning on Canton Road
Shoppers had a Saturday morning reason to head to 423 Canton Road, where the Cumming Farmers Market brought produce, baked goods and local vendors back to the City Center.

Shoppers looking for an easy Saturday stop had a familiar option at Cumming City Center, where the Cumming Farmers Market was listed for 8 a.m. on May 16 at 423 Canton Road in Cumming. The market has moved into the City Center complex, giving Forsyth County families a regular place to pick up food and browse local goods without leaving town.
The schedule is built around the seasons. University of Georgia Extension in Forsyth County lists the market as Saturdays only from October through May, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., then Wednesdays and Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. from June through September. That made the May 16 date part of the market’s spring Saturday routine, not a special one-off event.

Vendors at the City Center market offer farm fresh produce, locally raised meats, eggs and honey, homemade breads, desserts, jams and jellies, potted plants, and handmade arts and crafts. For households trying to stretch a weekend grocery run, the mix gives the market a practical edge: it is a place to buy breakfast items, fresh ingredients for the week, and seasonal products from Georgia sellers in one stop.
The market is set up in the Vision Parkway parking lot, just left after entering from Canton Highway, with parking available there and along Vision Parkway. That location puts it inside the larger Cumming City Center footprint, a roughly 75-acre development between Canton Highway and Sawnee Drive that includes local shops, restaurants, the Lou Sobh Amphitheater, green space and trails.

Opened in 2023, the City Center has quickly become one of the city’s main gathering places west of downtown Cumming. The farmers market helps anchor that role by bringing steady foot traffic to the complex and giving small vendors a weekly space to meet residents in an informal, unhurried setting. The market says its mission is to bring local farmers, cooks and artisans together, and the setup reflects that aim.

For families, the appeal is more than groceries. Local coverage of the market has highlighted its mix of booths as something that works for both parents and children, with enough variety to turn a short stop into a full morning outing. In a county where many weekend plans compete for attention, the Cumming Farmers Market has remained one of the simplest ways to spend a Saturday morning close to home while supporting local growers and makers.
