Forsyth County teams earn spot in GHSA lacrosse Final 4 schedule
Forsyth County has multiple lacrosse teams in the Final 4, with Lambert and South Forsyth still alive and championship weekend landing at West Forsyth High School in Cumming.

Forsyth County has turned the GHSA lacrosse semifinals into a local map, with Lambert and South Forsyth pushing into the boys Division 3 Final Four while West Forsyth remains part of the countywide postseason story. For Forsyth fans, the route now runs through Cumming, where GHSA scheduled the 2026 state championships for May 13-15 at West Forsyth High School, 4155 Drew Road.
The county’s depth showed up in the bracket. Lambert beat Harrison 13-2 on May 5, and South Forsyth topped Etowah 10-5 on May 1, giving Forsyth two teams in the boys Division 3 semifinal round. West Forsyth, another county program with recent championship credentials, fell to Walton 14-6 on May 5, but the broader message was still clear: Forsyth schools were deep enough in the tournament to command their own Final 4 attention.
That matters because GHSA’s championship weekend is centered in Forsyth County. The girls Division 1 and Division 2 finals are set for May 13, the boys Division 1 and Division 2 finals for May 14, and the girls Division 3 and boys Division 3 finals for May 15. GHSA said tickets are available only through GoFan, and all championship games will be streamed on the NFHS Network.

The county’s current run also lands against recent state success. At the 2025 GHSA lacrosse state championships, held May 16-17 at Denmark High School in Alpharetta, West Forsyth won the girls Division 3 title and Lambert won the boys Division 3 title. That combination of recent trophies and another strong postseason showing has helped make Forsyth one of Georgia’s more visible high-school lacrosse markets.
Lambert’s boys program has been especially prominent, with multiple state titles in its history and another strong bracket run this spring. South Forsyth’s advance added to the county’s footprint, while West Forsyth’s earlier championship form kept Forsyth at the center of the state conversation. For a county that follows school sports closely, the Final 4 slate is more than a bracket update. It is another sign that Forsyth lacrosse has become a steady statewide force.
