Forsyth County Water Department Hosts Fix a Leak Week Pop-Up Events
Six pop-up events across Forsyth County this week offer free leak-detection tablets and hose nozzles to residents who stop by.

The Forsyth County Department of Water & Sewer kicked off a week of pop-up educational events Monday as part of Fix a Leak Week, the EPA's WaterSense national campaign reminding homeowners and businesses to check plumbing fixtures and irrigation systems for leaks.
The department scheduled six stops at community venues between March 16 and 20, with staff on hand at each location to help residents identify common household leaks and pick up free water-saving supplies, including toilet leak detection dye tablets and water-saving hose nozzles, while supplies last.
Monday opened with two events: a midday session at Hampton Park Library at 5345 Settingdown Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by an evening pop-up at Central Park Recreation Center at 2300 Keith Bridge Road from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday's stop runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, 2115 Chloe Road.
The back half of the week brings three more opportunities. Wednesday morning, the Central Park Senior Center at 2300 Keith Bridge Road hosts a session from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday evening, Old Atlanta Recreation Center at 810 Nichols Road opens its doors from 5 to 7 p.m. The week wraps up Friday at Cumming Library, 585 Dahlonega Street, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

At each stop, Water & Sewer staff are available to walk residents through simple ways to protect water resources and reduce water waste at home. The events are drop-in, with no registration required.
Residents looking for additional guidance on leak detection can visit the EPA's WaterSense Fix a Leak Week page at epa.gov/watersense/fix-leak-week for tips on finding and fixing leaks beyond what the pop-ups cover.
