Carnival rides, inflatables, a ninja wall, a petting zoo, and five food trucks covered the Atlanta Athletic Club fields in Johns Creek on Saturday, and not one of those attractions cost families a dollar to enjoy.

Daffodil Days, the City of Johns Creek's annual spring carnival, ran from noon to 6 p.m. on the fields at 1930 Bobby Jones Drive near Cauley Creek Park, with admission, rides, games, and inflatables all free. Special Events Planner Corinne Wilde, who coordinates the event out of the city's office at 11360 Lakefield Drive, managed vendor logistics and sponsorship opportunities for the afternoon.

The activity lineup stretched deliberately across age groups. Younger children had inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, caricature artists, and youth carnival rides. A rock-climbing wall and a ninja wall drew older kids and adults looking for a physical challenge, while skee-ball, carnival games, and a DJ kept the midway active throughout the six-hour run. Stilt walkers and jugglers worked through the crowd, with makers and community booths filling out the grounds beyond the ride footprint.

Five food trucks anchored the food side of the operation: Bangin' Burgers & Buns, Fair On Wheels, Sweet Sensations 80s Food Truck, Southern Scoops, and King of Pops.

The City of Johns Creek has described Daffodil Days as a proving ground for the crowd control, parking, and safety protocols it intends to carry into larger events at the Town Center. Saturday's six-hour run on the Bobby Jones Drive fields served as a full-scale test, with five food trucks, a ninja wall, and a free gate for every family who arrived.
