Lambert, West Forsyth Remain Undefeated Atop Division 3 Lacrosse Rankings
Lambert boys and West Forsyth girls are undefeated Division 3 leaders after each downed South Forsyth last week, with state playoff seeding sharpening into focus.

Lambert boys lacrosse has won seven state titles, the most recent a 12-0 blanking of South Forsyth in the Division 3 championship. Last week, the Eagles beat South Forsyth again.
Score Atlanta's Week 7 statewide rankings, published March 30, placed Lambert at No. 1 in Division 3 boys after back-to-back wins over Walton and South Forsyth. Simultaneously, West Forsyth girls lacrosse held the top spot in Division 3 girls with an undefeated record intact, following a stretch that included a win over South Forsyth and consecutive out-of-state victories over Bartram Trail and Episcopal School of Jacksonville, both Florida programs.
Two Forsyth County programs sit atop their respective Division 3 brackets simultaneously, both undefeated, entering the most consequential portion of the regular season.
For Lambert, the unbeaten record carries direct postseason value that the program understands well. Coming off last year's clean run that ended with a state title, the Eagles have defined what an unblemished Division 3 regular season means at bracket time: the No. 1 seed, home games in the first round, and favorable early matchups. Wins over Walton and South Forsyth last week extended that standard.

West Forsyth's case is built differently but equally convincingly. The Wolverines, based in Cumming, went into Florida and beat Bartram Trail and Episcopal School of Jacksonville on consecutive trips, out-of-state results that add nonconference credibility to a resume that already includes a divisional win over South Forsyth. Those Florida victories are the kind of schedule-strength line items that statewide selectors notice when evaluating bracket placement.
The rest of Forsyth County's lacrosse footprint fills out the picture: South Forsyth remains a ranked Division 3 program despite absorbing losses to both county rivals in the same week, while Buford and North Forsyth hold positions in divisional standings elsewhere in the rankings, putting four Forsyth-area programs within reach of the postseason.
The scenarios that end either unbeaten run are narrow but real. For Lambert, a high-stakes late-season area matchup against a top-five Division 3 opponent is the clearest pressure point; for West Forsyth, a South Forsyth rematch in area play carries the stakes that could flip the girls bracket overnight. The program that unseats either team will need to do it on the field, because heading into April, no one in Division 3 has built a stronger case on paper.
