Suwanee Beer Fest Celebrates 15th Year With 400 Craft Beers at Town Center Park

Suwanee Town Center Park transformed into what organizers call Gwinnett's largest St. Patrick's Day party on March 21, as the 15th annual Suwanee Beer Fest drew thousands of craft beer fans to the familiar green lawns off Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road. The milestone edition featured more than 400 craft beers from over 100 breweries, according to Beer Connoisseur, making it the biggest pour in the festival's decade-and-a-half run.

The Georgia Beer Garden anchored the grounds, spotlighting more than 70 homegrown and up-and-coming Peach State breweries in a dedicated section that has become one of the fest's signature draws. Alongside the beer, attendees could sample seltzers, wines, ready-to-drink cocktails, and liquors, while food trucks and local vendors filled out the vendor footprint. Festival games including cornhole, giant Jenga, and mobile axe throwing rounded out the entertainment alongside live music.

The festival's footprint extends well beyond the tasting cups. Since its founding, Suwanee Beer Fest has donated more than $216,330 to local charities and organizations. One of its primary beneficiaries is Cooper's Crew, a nonprofit that funds research into Clear Cell Sarcoma and provides scholarships to local students facing adversity.

The event carries national credibility to match its local roots. Beer Connoisseur reported that Suwanee Beer Fest has been crowned the Best Beer Festival in the Country by USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, a recognition event coordinator Tiffany Belflower credited to the community surrounding the festival.

"For years, Suwanee Beer Fest has been a place where craft beer fans can come together to celebrate their shared passion in an electric, high-energy environment," Belflower said. "Winning this award again is a testament to the incredible community, breweries, sponsors, and attendees who make this festival what it is."

General Admission tickets started at $60 and covered unlimited samples of the 400-plus beers on offer, plus access to the live music stages, games, and vendor areas. VIP ticket holders gained early entry at noon, with General Admission doors opening at 1 p.m. Both sessions ran through 5 p.m. The event is strictly 21 and over, with no exceptions for designated drivers, and organizers prohibited children and pets on the grounds.

Beer Connoisseur estimates the festival regularly draws more than 6,000 attendees from across the country, a figure that positions Suwanee's annual March gathering as one of the most-attended craft beer events in the Southeast.
