Clovis Teacher Dies After Severe Beating, Police Seek Help

The death of Geoffrey Bernardi, a 37 year old career technical education teacher with Clovis Unified, was confirmed by the Fresno County Coroner on December 22, 2025 after he succumbed to injuries from a severe assault that took place near Barstow and Peach avenues. Bernardi was taken to a hospital following the attack and later died, prompting Clovis police to launch a homicide investigation. At this time investigators say the suspect remains outstanding and they are asking members of the public to come forward with any information that could help the case.
