Goochland Chamber Plans May 16 Parade, Festival at Sports Complex
Goochland Day returns May 16 with a 10 a.m. parade at Courthouse Green, followed by a free festival at the Sports Complex on Sandy Hook Rd.

Goochland Day 2026 is returning to the county's Courthouse Green on Saturday, May 16, with a 10 a.m. parade and a free afternoon festival at the Goochland Sports Complex, organized this year by the Goochland Chamber Community Foundation and the Goochland Chamber of Commerce.
The parade kicks off at the Courthouse Green at 10 a.m., with the festival following at the Goochland Sports Complex, 1800 Sandy Hook Rd. The Eventbrite listing for the event places festival hours at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while the Facebook event page, which lists the Goochland Chamber Community Foundation and Goochland Chamber of Commerce as co-hosts alongside the Goochland Day organization, shows an overall event window of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. EDT. The Chamber's own promotional materials describe the festival as an afternoon event at the Sports Complex.
Local vendors are central to the festival's programming, according to the Chamber, which notes they "will be at the heart of the Goochland Day Festival." The event is intended to highlight residents, community leaders, and businesses across the county. The Eventbrite listing explicitly describes the festival as free.
"The Goochland Chamber Community Foundation is proud to host Goochland Day to celebrate the heart of our community, its people, businesses, nonprofits, and rich traditions," the Chamber wrote in its promotional materials. "This beloved event brings together families, neighbors, and visitors for a day of connection, pride, and GVA charm."

The Chamber framed the event's broader purpose as providing "an annual day of celebration for all, highlighting our residents, leaders and businesses who have made our county one of the most desirable places to live and work in Virginia."
The parade route beyond the Courthouse Green starting point, road closure details, and the full festival program, including entertainment, food vendors, and children's activities, have not yet been announced. Those planning to attend or participate as vendors should watch for additional details from the Goochland Chamber Community Foundation as May 16 approaches.
