Kayser-Roth Corporation sold its Greensboro headquarters at 102 Corporate Center Blvd. and immediately negotiated a leaseback arrangement allowing the company to remain in the building as a tenant.

The deal is a significant real estate move for one of the Triad's most enduring textile names. Kayser-Roth, a subsidiary of Italian hosiery giant Golden Lady since 1999, has anchored its North American operations at the Corporate Center Blvd. address for decades, running design, marketing, sales, and finance functions from the Greensboro campus. The company also maintains a design and showroom office in New York's apparel district.

Sale-leaseback transactions have become a common tool for manufacturers looking to convert owned real estate into working capital while avoiding an operational move. By selling the building and leasing back space, Kayser-Roth effectively unlocks the property's equity without disrupting its Greensboro workforce or operations.

The company has faced a contracting footprint in recent years. It permanently closed its Asheboro manufacturing plant in early 2024 and announced the elimination of more than 120 positions at its Lumberton hosiery facility in 2023, citing declining demand. Kayser-Roth still operates a manufacturing plant in Burlington and maintains distribution operations in North Carolina and Tennessee. The company markets three major North American brands: No Nonsense, Hue, and Burlington.

The headquarters sale adds the company's primary Greensboro address to a broader pattern of asset restructuring as Kayser-Roth navigates a shifting apparel landscape.
