Tom Varn Park in Brooksville is hosting the 41st Annual Art in the Park today and tomorrow, March 14 and 15, with more than 100 juried artists spreading across the lakeside grounds for what organizers call Hernando County's largest art show.

Presented by Pinot's Palette and the Hernando County Fine Arts Council, the two-day event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 301 Darby Ln. Admission is free, with a suggested $5 parking donation; all parking donations go to support the arts in Hernando County.

The show draws fine art paintings, sculptures, jewelry and other handmade work from more than 100 artists and artisan exhibitors. Alongside the sales floor, attendees can watch live painting and art demonstrations, explore interactive art installations throughout the park, and take in two days of live music and stage entertainment. Visitors can also cast a ballot for the "You be the judge" award, selecting their own favorite work from among the exhibitors.

A countywide juried Student Art Show features work from students across Hernando County schools. Families with younger children will find a dedicated Children's Experience Area offering free art activities, along with a lakeside picnic area, a playground, and food trucks on the grounds.
