Second Annual Brooksville Tangerine Festival Returns February 7 Downtown with Two Stages
Downtown Brooksville is hosting the second annual Tangerine Festival today, a free, family-focused celebration of citrus heritage with two music stages, vendors, and activities.

Downtown Brooksville is filling with live music, markets and citrus-flavored treats as Brooksville Main Street presents the Second Annual Brooksville Tangerine Festival today, Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with free admission and free parking.
The festival centers on two performance areas. At the Hernando Park Bandshell, the schedule lists Noon–2:30 p.m. – Draw 4 and 3:30–6 p.m. – Actual Bank Robbers. The Hometown Headliner & Rising Stars Stage on Main Street runs 11 a.m.–6 p.m. with scheduled appearances by Connor Dirksen, Joe Solomon & The Inconceivables, Irelynn, the Brooksville IDOL winner, Jayne’s Dance Academy and the 2nd Annual Tangerine Royalty Pageant. Brooksville Main Street promoted the event as a full day of downtown programming: "Prepare for a full day packed with entertainment, delicious treats, and activities for the whole family right in the heart of our charming downtown!" and added, "Last year was just the beginning, and this year, we’re bringing even more zest!"
The footprint runs through downtown Brooksville, anchored near 20 N Main Street. Organizers promote a Tangerine Treasure Market of local arts, crafts and retail vendors offering handcrafted jewelry, artwork, custom-made clothing, home décor and specialty gifts, alongside a Tangerine Art Trail featuring pieces by local artists. Food offerings lean into citrus with tangerine-inspired items from downtown restaurants and local food trucks, from pizzas and jams to refreshing drinks.
Family programming is central to the festival. The Family Fun Zone promises "Fun for all ages awaits! Enjoy exciting photo opportunities throughout the event, face painting, balloon art, Pied Piper Percussion and games that will delight both kids and adults. The zone will also include a Bubble Foam Party! Fun for the entire family!" The Tangerine Royalty Pageant invites contestants for King & Queen, Prince & Princess and a pet category listed by the organizer as Tangerine Tail-Wagger (Pet); registration is open online through Brooksville Main Street.

Public health and community equity considerations are woven into the event’s accessibility. Free admission and parking lower cost barriers for families and older residents, supporting inclusive access to arts and small-business commerce. Large outdoor gatherings also raise routine public-health considerations: staying hydrated, planning for shade and monitoring crowds helps people with mobility or chronic conditions attend safely. Organizers list Lowman Law Firm as a presenting partner.
For Hernando County small businesses and makers, the festival is a concentrated opportunity for sales and visibility during a weekend that spotlights the region’s citrus heritage. For families, students and older adults, it’s a low-cost day of entertainment and community connection in the heart of Brooksville.
Check Brooksville Main Street’s event page for any last-minute schedule updates, vendor maps and registration details for the Royalty Pageant. Today’s festival offers a chance to support local entrepreneurs, celebrate agricultural heritage and bring a little extra zest to downtown Brooksville.
