Leap Into Lordsburg Events Page Highlights Hidalgo County Festivals Year-Round
Railroad Days lands on June 13 and the Annual Chamber Awards already passed March 6, among a dozen Hidalgo County events tracked by Leap Into Lordsburg.
Leap Into Lordsburg maintains a public-facing events page that aggregates community festivals, civic celebrations, and local activities across Lordsburg and Hidalgo County, giving residents and visitors a single place to track a calendar that runs from February through December.
The Hidalgo County Chamber of Commerce, based at 206 Main Street in Lordsburg, anchors the page through its Visit Lordsburg platform. The Annual Chamber Awards Ceremony, held March 6 this year, opened the spring stretch of programming. The Best of Hidalgo Awards, noted as a recurring March fixture, rounds out the county's early-year recognition events, though the Chamber has not publicly confirmed whether the two are the same occasion.
Looking ahead from mid-March, the calendar fills quickly. April brings two community-driven events: Get Outside, Hidalgo! and the Cancer Walk. June 13, a Saturday, is the confirmed date for Railroad Days. July 4 carries a double draw with Rodeo's 4th of July Celebration and Parade running alongside Lordsburg's Fabulous Fireworks Show. The Jessie Darnell 3on3 Basketball Tournament follows on the second weekend of July.
The summer closes with the Hidalgo County Fair on the third weekend of August, one of the county's longest-running annual traditions. Fall brings the Food Truck Roundup on the third Saturday in November, and the year wraps with Moonlight Madness and the Light Parade on the first Friday of December.
