Holmes County chamber to welcome Little Beans Play Cafe in Millersburg

A new indoor stop for young children is set to get a public welcome in Millersburg, and Holmes County families may find more than a ceremonial opening in the schedule. Little Beans Play Cafe will be featured Friday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to noon EDT, with a welcome ceremony at 10 and free play for attendees.

The Holmes County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau is hosting the event at Little Beans Play Cafe, 5126 W Main St., Millersburg, and the chamber is framing it as part of the wider Berlin area visitor mix. The listing headline says, “Welcome the Lil Beans Play Cafe to Berlin,” even though the venue address is in Millersburg, a reminder that business activity here often serves the broader Berlin-Millersburg travel corridor rather than a single town line.

For parents and grandparents, the draw is practical. Little Bean’s Play Cafe says its mission is to provide a safe and fun environment for children to play and explore, with an emphasis on social interaction and imagination through play. In a county where families often juggle weather, errands and distance between attractions, an indoor play space gives young children a place to burn energy without depending on outdoor conditions.

The business’s model also shows what kind of customers it is trying to reach. Little Bean’s Play Cafe says it does not currently offer coffee, but customers may bring food and drinks purchased from Meyer’s Bakery. Outside food and drinks are otherwise not allowed. In that context, Little Beans Play Cafe looks aimed at both local families who need regular kid-friendly options and visitors extending a stay between Berlin, Millersburg and other Holmes County stops. It adds another small-business option to a tourism economy that increasingly depends on places where children have a reason to stop, not just pass through.
