Holmes County Park District opens 2026 swim lesson registration

Holmes County parents looking for a low-cost summer activity with real safety value can register now for 2026 group swim lessons at James L. Crissey Memorial Pool in Millersburg. The program is open to children ages 5 to 12, offers levels 1, 2 and 3, and is split into two sessions: June 8 through June 19 and June 29 through July 10. Each session costs $50, classes run Monday through Thursday, and Fridays are reserved for weather makeups.

Lesson times are offered at 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., a schedule that gives working parents and families juggling camps, ball games and other summer obligations a few evening options. The Holmes County Park District took over ownership and management in 2016, and the pool later logged its best season since the district takeover, another record-setting summer in 2018, and a 2021 rebound that averaged more than 100 visitors per day after the 2020 closure.
