Longtime Caldwell Resident Atlee R. Miller Dies, Family Mourns
Atlee R. Miller of Caldwell died at his home on December 13, 2025, after a short illness, leaving a large family and deep local ties across Holmes County. Funeral services were held in Baltic and burial took place at Troyer Cemetery, matters of direct interest for neighbors and relatives who gathered to pay respects.

Atlee R. Miller, 64, a Caldwell resident, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 13, 2025, following a short illness. Born December 20, 1960, he was part of a broad family network across Holmes County and surrounding communities, and his death prompted a number of local gatherings to remember his life.
Miller married Anna Mae Troyer on January 27, 1987. She survives him, along with their three children and their families. His children are Teresa Burkholder of Walnut Creek, Amy Elizabeth Burkholder of Walnut Creek, and Timothy Miller of Baltic. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and six siblings who live in the region, including Wayne Miller of Sugarcreek, Joe Miller of New Philadelphia, Aden Miller of Walnut Creek, Roy Jr. Miller of Dover, Ruby Troyer of Uhrichsville, and Robert Miller of Strasburg.
Funeral services were held at the David N. Miller residence, 1949 TR 178 in Baltic, on Tuesday, December 16, at 9:00 a.m. Bishop Lester Miller officiated. Burial followed in the Troyer Cemetery. Friends were able to call at the David N. Miller residence after 1:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service. The family extended a special thank you to their church and friends for support during this time.
