Alice to host George West, Santa Gertrudis Academy playoff softball series

Playoff softball gave Alice another busy spring night as George West and Kingsville Santa Gertrudis Academy opened a best-of-three Class 3A Division II bi-district series in town at 5 p.m. The county seat became the backdrop for a matchup that carried immediate stakes, with one inning capable of shifting the entire series.
