Ben Bolt Palito Blanco duo Chapa, Dunlavy make All-Tournament Team at Freer

Cristian Chapa and Walker Dunlavy of Ben Bolt–Palito Blanco ISD earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Freer Baseball Tournament following action during the weekend of Feb. 28, the district announced March 3. The selections recognized each player's standout contributions against a competitive field in Freer.

The Freer event drew several regional squads, and Chapa and Dunlavy were among the small handful of players singled out for top individual recognition. Ben Bolt–Palito Blanco ISD identified both players by name in its March 3 notice to the community, highlighting their performances across multiple games held in Freer over the weekend of Feb. 28.

Chapa’s inclusion on the All-Tournament Team underscores his impact in those games, and Dunlavy’s selection reflects his consistency during tournament play. Both players represent Ben Bolt–Palito Blanco’s youth baseball program and now carry a regional accolade back to Jim Wells County, a point of local pride for coaches, teammates and families who traveled to Freer for the weekend slate.
