LĪHUʻE — Anyone planning to visit Kaua'i Police Department administrative offices Monday, March 30, should plan around a 90-minute midday closure: KPD will shut all administrative operations, including Records and Firearms Services, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. to accommodate the department's change-of-command ceremony.
The closure covers the full span of administrative services at KPD. Residents who need records or firearms-related processing will need to arrive before 11:15 a.m. or return after 12:45 p.m.
Emergency services are not affected. KPD remains reachable around the clock: call 911 for emergencies or (808) 241-1711 for non-emergencies.
The department has not yet released the names of the outgoing or incoming commanding officers, nor whether the ceremony will be open to the public.
