David DaVinci is the local name Silverwood Theme Park is putting at the center of its 2026 season, and the move says as much about the park’s business strategy as it does about magic. Silverwood opened its 38th season May 2 and May 3 with David, Jamie and Capri DaVinci fronting Thrillusionist and ParrotFX, a family act built to pull in repeat visitors across North Idaho and the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene market.

The park backed that bet with opening-weekend pricing that was meant to be noticed: $38 general admission and $19.88 for youth and senior tickets. Silverwood also scheduled opening day for 11 a.m. and described the park as the Pacific Northwest’s largest theme park, with more than 65 rides and attractions. In a park that depends on seasonal traffic, the entertainment lineup is not filler. It is part of the pitch.

DaVinci’s story gives that pitch a hometown edge. He said he first got into magic at age 4, after taking his brother’s magic kit. By fifth grade, he was already doing his first show. By ninth grade, he had performed at nearly 95% of schools across Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, a sign that his act was already weaving through the same regional communities Silverwood now depends on. Before he graduated from high school, he had become the youngest World Champion in the Pacific Rim Professional Stage Championship.

The resume widened far beyond North Idaho after that. DaVinci has performed in more than 75 countries across six continents and even in international waters. He later worked at Silverwood as a teenager, performing 17 shows a week, then returned after touring with Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey in 2012. He is based in Sandpoint, and the family now lives in Sagle, which makes this a distinctly local headliner with global credentials.

Silverwood’s own shows page said the park sat down with David, Jamie and Capri to talk backstage stories and what guests could expect this season, underscoring that this is not a solo act dressed up as a family feature. Thrillusionist blends illusion with extreme sports and live animals, while ParrotFX adds parrot education and behind-the-scenes training. DaVinci and his wife train parrots through behavioral science and showmanship, and Capri’s presence makes the whole production read less like a booking and more like a North Idaho family business scaled up for one of the region’s biggest tourist magnets.
