The Flying Pickle to open 24-court, 85,000-square-foot Post Falls club June 2026
The Flying Pickle will open a 24-court, 85,000-square-foot indoor club at 140 N Beck Rd in Post Falls in June 2026, bringing a major regional pickleball destination to Kootenai County.

A major indoor pickleball club is coming to Post Falls, promising 24 cushioned, oversized courts, a championship showcase court, and roughly 85,000 square feet of play and social space at 140 N Beck Rd. The Flying Pickle plans a June 2026 opening for the facility, which will include AI cameras on every court, a full kitchen and bar, a mezzanine for events, luxe locker rooms, and a retail pro shop stocking Selkirk Sport gear.
Franchisee co-owner Alana Ashby said The Flying Pickle will occupy about 85,000 square feet of the building at The Pointe at Post Falls and that she anticipates opening the facility by June. Tenant improvements on a roughly $5 million project are scheduled to begin soon. Club Director Mike Johansen framed the venue as both sport and social center: "Our goal is to provide a welcoming and spacious pickleball experience without compromise," he said. "By combining professional-grade courts with a full-scale social hub, we are creating a destination where the community can truly come together, whether they are here for a high-stakes tournament or a Friday night dinner with friends."
The club will sit adjacent to Selkirk Sport's manufacturing and fulfillment space in the same industrial complex, and Selkirk will partner with the club by selling its products through the on-site pro shop, according to Ron Clough, Selkirk senior project manager. The larger building is described as roughly 163,000 square feet, with The Flying Pickle taking about half; a second neighboring building at 150 N Beck remains vacant and has been variously reported at about 237,000 to 240,000 square feet.
For local players and families, the club adds a high-capacity, all-weather destination in Kootenai County with court reservations through a dedicated app, leagues, lessons, tournaments, and drop-in play. Founders memberships are available now and include a guaranteed annual price, a free month of dues, and early access during the soft opening. Public pricing listed for the club includes basic memberships starting at $119 and pro memberships at $149, open-play guest rates at $12, organized play at $15, and peak-hour pricing at $20.
Economically, the project represents several local trends. Developers are repurposing large industrial shells for experiential and recreational uses, and the adjacency of manufacturing and retail operations creates retail-fulfillment synergies. The Flying Pickle’s expansion follows demand at its Meridian club, which has a waitlist, and signals growing regional appetite for indoor venues that serve players from Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, and beyond via the Beck Road I-90 exit. The $5 million in tenant improvements and event-driven programming should boost evening and weekend foot traffic for nearby restaurants and services.
Next steps for residents: Founders memberships are open now for early access and discounted rates, construction activity will ramp up as tenant work begins, and the club aims to welcome its first players in June 2026, positioning Post Falls as a new hub in the Pacific Northwest pickleball circuit.
