Darryl Hansen, Nate Breden, Breckon Hoff and Max Haugen worked through a ten-team bracket March 10 to claim the 2026 Rink Rat Tournament title at Rukavina Arena, capping what organizers called the event's biggest competition in its 21-year history.

The tournament, which runs a fast-paced 3v3 half-ice format, grew this year from its original eight-team field to a ten-team double-elimination bracket. That expansion meant more rounds, more matchups and more energy on the ice before Rukavina Arena wrapped its season in mid-March.

"Rink Rat is officially in its 21st year, and it just keeps getting bigger and better," said Dustin Goutermont, a local coach and organizer of the event.

The Rink Rat Tournament was one of two long-running traditions that closed out the Rukavina rink season. The Silver Cup, a multi-division event nearing its 30th year, also ran as part of the season finale, giving Silver Bay one more burst of competition before the ice came out for the year.

Among those on the ice for the tournament were Max Klemmer, Brayden Cates, Gordon Goutermont, Haydn Stahl, Jake Stadler, Wyatt Metzger, Mikaela Lindgren, Reese Costley, Hayden Bright, Logan Woods, Shane Hoff, Justin Ketola, Grady Hoff, Shane Loeffler, Tucker Cook, Andrew Wehrman and Kade Norman.

With the Silver Cup approaching three decades and Rink Rat now in its third decade of growth, the back half of March has quietly become Rukavina Arena's most tradition-dense stretch of the calendar year.
