Silver Bay announces sixth season of Music in the Park concerts

Silver Bay’s Music in the Park is heading into its sixth season, a sign the summer concert series has become a fixture in the city’s warm-weather calendar. Rocky Wall Entertainment says the 2026 lineup will include six free Friday-night concerts at City Center Park, along with six ticketed Rocky Wall Benefit House Concerts tied to the same season.

The shows are held at City Center Park in downtown Silver Bay, near City Hall, where the outdoor setting turns the park into a gathering place for families, neighbors and visitors looking for an easy evening out. Rocky Wall Entertainment, a nonprofit arts organization based in Silver Bay, says it is dedicated to bringing live Americana and folk-style music to the North Shore community, and the sixth season suggests the effort has found a steady audience.

That audience has reached beyond Silver Bay before. During the 2025 series, which marked the fifth season and ran Friday nights from July 18 through September 6, attendees came from Grand Marais, Duluth and St. Paul, along with campers and residents from up and down the North Shore. That kind of turnout gives the concerts value beyond the stage: it sends people downtown, supports local businesses and gives families a free summer activity that fits easily into an evening in town.

The series also reflects a volunteer-driven arts culture that has helped keep the program alive. North Shore Journal reported that organizer Jerry contributed to more than 50 concerts between 2021 and 2025, a level of commitment that helps explain how the event grew from one season to the next. Rocky Wall President Nelson French has said the goal is to make Music in the Park a premier outdoor music event on the North Shore, and the six-show format for 2026 points to that same ambition.

For Silver Bay, the announcement is less about a single concert lineup than about staying power. A sixth season means the series has found a rhythm in the city’s summer schedule, a place where residents, visitors and community groups can keep returning to the same downtown park for live music and an easy shared evening outdoors.
