Silver Bay offers free curbside pickup for yard debris May 26
Silver Bay homeowners can set out branches, logs and shrubs for a free curbside pickup May 26, but only from town property and only on the boulevard side.

Silver Bay homeowners who have been piling up storm-tossed branches and spring pruning can get rid of yard debris without a trip to the dump when Full Sun Services returns for a free curbside pickup on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
The one-day collection begins at 7:00 a.m. and is limited to yard debris from a homeowner’s Silver Bay town property. Residents must place the material on the boulevard side of the sidewalk, and only branches, logs and shrubs are eligible. The city said stumps are not allowed, roots with dirt must stay off the curb, and logs may not exceed 12 inches in diameter.

The pickup gives Silver Bay residents a practical way to clear winter damage, trim overgrowth and prepare properties for the warmer months without hauling bulky brush themselves. The service is free curbside disposal, and Full Sun Services will remove the debris from the property and dispose of it at no cost to the homeowner.

Silver Bay posted the clean-up notice April 21, as the city’s spring cleanup season picked up pace. The announcement comes as the city also publicized a separate 2026 Exchange Days schedule for curbside bulky-item cleanup, another sign that local officials are pushing seasonal disposal options while residents work through yard and property cleanout projects.

The timing matters in a city where homeowners often face branches dropped by snow and wind, along with the heavier trimming that comes with the start of the growing season. For many households, especially those with larger lots or mature trees, a free brush pickup can spare a drive to a waste site and keep yards from being cluttered by piles of organic debris.

Lake County’s yard-waste listings also point to John’s Sanitary at 15 Golf Course Road in Silver Bay as a disposal option, but the May 26 brush pickup offers a one-day curbside alternative for residents who qualify. A similar Full Sun Services brush clean-up was offered in Silver Bay in 2025, when the city said the town would be divided into three pickup zones, showing the service has become part of the community’s seasonal cleanup routine.
