Montana Outdoor Expo Returns to Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds in March

The Montana Outfitters and Guides Association is bringing more than 75 exhibits, educational sessions backed by state and federal wildlife agencies, and a bear attack simulator to the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds later this month, when the Montana Outdoor Expo runs March 27–29, 2026.

The three-day trade show spans hunting and fishing gear, outdoor apparel, camping equipment, and conservation nonprofit booths, alongside premier outfitters and guides available for booking in 2026 and beyond. Educational sessions are supported by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the U.S. Forest Service, giving the event a conservation and safety dimension alongside its commercial floor.

The bear attack simulator, listed as a feature on all three days, is among the more unusual draws, as are youth interactive booths designed to bring younger visitors into the fold. Food and beer will be available on-site each day.

Hours vary across the weekend. On Friday, March 27, doors open at 3 p.m. and close at 6 p.m. Saturday runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday wraps up at 4 p.m. Raffle ticket pricing has not yet been announced.

The expo describes itself as a trade show celebrating outdoor activities, wildlife conservation, and education. Ticket purchasing is available online, though pricing details had not been posted as of this week.
