NorthWestern Energy Brings Basketball Fundraiser to Helena Home Show Expo
NorthWestern Energy will donate $1 per basket at a free pop-a-shot booth during the Helena Home Show Expo on March 21–22, benefiting two local nonprofits.

A pop-a-shot basketball booth will double as a community fundraiser when NorthWestern Energy sets up at the 2026 Home Show Expo this weekend at the Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds in Helena.
The company's "Make a Basket, Make a Difference" event runs March 21–22, with NorthWestern Energy pledging $1 to charity for every successful shot visitors sink at the free booth. Proceeds will be split between the Helena Area Community Foundation and the United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area.
"Come by our booth, show off your skills, and help raise money for these organizations that support our community," said Wes Feist, NorthWestern Energy's Community Relations Manager. "It's free to play, and NorthWestern Energy is proud to support the Helena Area Community Foundation and United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area."
The two recipient organizations serve distinct but complementary roles in Lewis and Clark County. Emily Frazier, Executive Director of the Helena Area Community Foundation, described her organization's approach: "HACF connects generosity to community need, helping donors, nonprofits, and partners work together to strengthen the place we call home."
Emily McVey, Executive Director of the United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area, framed her organization's value in similar terms. "We provide the opportunity for people to work together to achieve more than any single person or organization can do alone," McVey said.
NorthWestern Energy's press release characterized the United Way's role in the local nonprofit ecosystem as "the hub, the backbone, the agency that brings people to the table and breaks down silos for the local nonprofits, local government, and businesses in the community."
The Home Show Expo at the Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds opens Saturday. No purchase or registration is required to participate at the NorthWestern Energy booth.
