Fleming Town Council to Address Playground, Staffing, Water and Street Projects March 10

Fleming's Town Council convened its regular March 10 meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Fleming Town Hall, working through a posted agenda that ranged from routine consent items to substantive discussion of a playground project, staffing transitions, water treatment, and street work. The public notice had been posted the day before, on March 9, 2026, consistent with the town's established practice of listing notices at Fleming Town Hall, the Fleming Post Office, and on the town's website at flemingcolorado.us.

The breadth of the agenda reflected an active period for the small northeastern Colorado town. Playground improvements, staffing changes, water treatment considerations, and street projects each represented distinct categories of municipal responsibility, from capital infrastructure to day-to-day operations, all folded into a single evening session.

The council's meeting cadence is governed by Resolution #1-2025, adopted at an earlier session and approved unanimously, which sets regular meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. March 10 falls on that schedule. The resolution also formalized the three official posting locations used to notify residents of upcoming public meetings and hearings.

Each council member voted in the affirmative on the required voice vote.

That same February session included discussion of an employee appreciation dinner, with March 28 selected as the date and council member Asfeld assigned to contact Kiki's to finalize arrangements. Council member Betley also announced a work session scheduled for Friday, February 14, at 9:00 a.m. at Town Hall to work through agenda items that had been tabled. The meeting adjourned at 7:08 p.m. by unanimous motion.
