Haxtun Health Adds Wearable Cardiac Monitor Designed for Rural Patients
Haxtun Health added a chest-worn cardiac patch that transmits heart data automatically, built for farmers and ranchers who can't pause work for symptoms.

Haxtun Health's Radiology Department now offers the BioCore Pro connected cardiac monitor, a lightweight patch worn on the chest that continuously tracks heart rhythm for several days and transmits data automatically, without requiring patients to return equipment before results can be reviewed.
The device is aimed squarely at the working rhythms of northeastern Colorado. Haxtun Health described it as "an easy to wear heart rhythm device designed to fit the busy lives of farmers, ranchers, and hardworking rural Coloradans," citing specific scenarios: checking cattle, hauling grain, running errands in town, and easing into retirement. Heart symptoms that flicker and fade, a flutter during morning chores, dizziness on a grain run, have historically been difficult to capture on a brief in-office test. The BioCore Pro is designed to catch those irregularities across normal daily activity over several days of continuous monitoring.
The workflow removes a logistical barrier common in rural healthcare. Because the device sends heart data to Haxtun Health automatically, there is no need to drive back to the clinic to drop off equipment before providers can begin reviewing results. Haxtun Health said that automatic transmission "means quicker diagnosis, earlier treatment when needed, and greater peace of mind."
Patients who notice something unusual while wearing the device can press a marking button to timestamp the moment, whether they are experiencing shortness of breath, fluttering, or dizziness. That logged marker helps providers match the patient's symptom to what the heart was doing at that instant. An optional Biocore Health App also lets patients view their own progress and access educational materials during the monitoring period.

Haxtun Health framed the addition as consistent with its stated mission: "to support the health of the people who keep our community strong, farmers, ranchers, workers, caregivers and families alike. Adding BioCore Pro to our Radiology Department means we can provide faster answers, greater accuracy, and easier testing right here, close to home."
The advisory was published on the Haxtun Health website on March 6, 2026, and carried in the Haxtun-Fleming Herald in its March 12 edition, with coverage by Sara Huss. The Sterling Journal-Advocate also posted the announcement.
