Sterling High School's 20-student cast brings "Grease" to the SHS auditorium April 10 through 12, staging three performances of the 1950s-set musical with tickets at $10 at the door.

Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11 shows start at 7 p.m.; the Sunday, April 12 matinee begins at 3 p.m. The production's score, drawn from the musical's catalog of 1950s-era songs, has been highlighted as a key draw for audiences. The show is Sterling High's spring musical and is expected to deliver a dose of period nostalgia for the Logan County community.

Fourteen students form the ensemble for numbers that include "Alma Mater Singers," "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightning," "Beauty School Drop Out," "Cheerleaders" and "Those Magic Changes": Corban Ball, Isabella Bartlett, Jaylin Collins, Reagan Hudson-Wagner, Rylan Knorr, Rosemary Knox, Isaiah Leswick, Verena Mau, Megan Mitchell, Gauge Morrow, Addamari Ochoa, Maki Thampramial, Jamie Thompson and Brett Werner. Six more students appear as School Kids: Brooke Brom, Paige Diamond, Mosley Knorr, Avery Jones, Angie Nicolaus and Penny Nicolaus.

A five-piece pit orchestra provides live sound for all three performances. Don Johnson plays bass, Nick Jones handles guitar, Lee Lippstrew is on drum set, Janelle Nicolaus plays tenor saxophone and Annette Lambrecht covers keyboard. Backstage techies Kira Perez, Lucian Perez, Aaron Pasko and Kevin Anima round out the production team behind the scenes.

All three performances are at the SHS auditorium, with tickets available at the door for $10.
