Sterling PD's Spaeth Earns Driving Instructor Certification in Full Circle Moment
Sterling PD's Cpl. Cameron Spaeth earned his driving instructor certification from former colleague Trevor Tuttle, training in the same patrol car Tuttle once drove at the department.

Sterling Police Department Corporal Cameron Spaeth is now a certified Driving Instructor, completing his training under former Sterling officer Trevor Tuttle, who departed the department to become a Sergeant with Adams County.
The training carried one detail that set it apart from any routine certification: Spaeth trained in the same patrol car Tuttle drove during his own years with Sterling PD. The department described the moment as "full circle," and the description fits. A former officer came back, in an instructional capacity, and handed down skills to a current colleague using the very vehicle he once operated on Logan County roads.
Tuttle's path from Sterling officer to Adams County Sergeant and certified driving instructor trainer created the conditions for that connection. His return to his old department, this time as the trainer rather than the trainee, closed a loop that neither department planned but both can point to as a tangible example of regional law enforcement cooperation.

For Sterling PD, Spaeth's certification adds an in-house driving instructor to the department's roster, expanding its ability to develop officers locally. The department has continued to prioritize hiring and professional development, and Spaeth's new credential reflects that investment in building a trained, self-sufficient force serving Logan County.
