Gallup Police Seek Missing Teen Leigha Johnson, Community Asked to Help

Gallup law enforcement issued a missing person alert on December 15 for 15 year old Leigha Johnson, who was last seen about 3:00 p.m. that day at Miyamura High School, 680 Boardman Drive. Johnson is described as approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. At the time she was reported missing she was wearing a blue Ralph Lauren jacket, light blue bell bottom pants, black and pink shoes and black glasses.

The Gallup Police Department identified several locations Johnson is known to frequent, including Ford Canyon Park, the local mall and the skate park area. Authorities posted the alert to solicit leads from the public and to focus searches on areas where she may be known to go. The case remains active as of December 18 and police have asked anyone with information to contact Metro Dispatch or the Gallup Police Department with tips.
