Gallup Police Seek Public Help Finding Missing Diné Man Last Seen in Albuquerque
Darren Notah, 43, was last seen the evening of March 31 at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque. Gallup Police are seeking tips at (505) 722-2002.

Darren Notah, a 43-year-old Diné man, was last seen six days ago in the cafeteria area of the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, and Gallup Police are asking the public to help locate him.
Notah stands about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. His last confirmed sighting was the evening of March 31. Because the alert originates from Gallup Police in McKinley County while Notah was last seen in Bernalillo County, the search spans two jurisdictions separated by roughly 140 miles of I-40 corridor.
"Gallup Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 43-year-old Diné man," the department stated in its alert.
Anyone who may have seen Notah, at UNM Hospital, along Route 66, at interstate stops, or on bus routes between Albuquerque and Gallup, is urged to contact Gallup Police. The non-emergency dispatch line operates 24 hours at (505) 722-2002. For anonymous tips, call Gallup Crime Stoppers at (505) 722-6161. In an emergency, dial 911.

If you believe you see Notah, do not approach him, particularly if he appears disoriented or in medical distress. Instead, call non-emergency dispatch and let officers make contact. Verify your information before sharing any sighting on social media so that investigators can prioritize confirmed leads.
Drivers who traveled the I-40 corridor on or after March 31 should review dashcam footage from that window. Anyone with private security cameras near bus stops, gas stations, or motels along Route 66 between the two cities should do the same and call Gallup Police with any relevant recordings.
Family members or community advocates searching independently can also check with the Gallup Indian Medical Center, local shelters in both Gallup and Albuquerque, and New Mexico State Police, which coordinates multi-jurisdiction missing-person cases through the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.
