Crimestoppers seeks tips on Meredosia, Beardstown wanted suspects
Meredosia and Beardstown addresses are at the center of a Crime Stoppers alert on two wanted suspects. Tips can be called in anonymously at 243-7300.

Two active warrants tied to Meredosia and Beardstown have put familiar Morgan County street names into a new Crime Stoppers alert, with one case involving meth possession and retail theft and the other involving aggravated DUI and driving without insurance. Crime Stoppers of Morgan, Scott & Cass Counties is asking residents to help locate 20-year-old Madison Schwalb of Meredosia and 49-year-old Overet Guilavogui of Beardstown.
Schwalb was last reported living on Gaskill Street in Meredosia, making the notice especially local for neighbors who know that village well. She is described as a white female, 5-foot-9, 140 pounds, with long brown hair and hazel eyes. The warrant lists meth possession and retail theft, two offenses that keep narcotics and property crime near the top of the group’s public-safety concerns in Morgan County.

Guilavogui’s case is different, but no less immediate. He was last known to live on West Jefferson in Beardstown and is described as a black male, 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, with a bald head and brown eyes. The allegations attached to his warrant are aggravated DUI and driving without insurance, charges that point to the kind of roadway risk that can quickly spill beyond one driver and one vehicle.
Crime Stoppers has operated in Morgan, Scott and Cass counties for more than three decades, and the anonymous tip line has been described as a vital community resource for over 30 years. The organization says tips that lead to arrests can be eligible for awards, and a recent profile noted that the group has reported more than $1,003,544 seized since 1985. That same profile said rewards for tips leading to meth arrests have recently increased, underscoring how often drug cases remain a priority across the region.
Anyone with information on Schwalb or Guilavogui can call 243-7300 or contact Crime Stoppers through its Facebook page or website. The agency says all calls are anonymous, a feature that keeps the tip line working across Meredosia, Beardstown, Jacksonville and the rest of Morgan County when local law enforcement needs help bringing wanted suspects in.
