Crimestoppers seeks two men wanted on multiple county warrants

Crime Stoppers of Morgan, Scott & Cass Counties used its weekend wanted list to spotlight two men with active warrants in Morgan County and beyond, asking anyone with information to help officers locate them without making contact. In a county of 32,915 people, where Jacksonville is home to 17,616 residents and serves as the county seat, the tip line remains a key tool for finding people who may move quickly across small towns and county boundaries.

Tydon Austin, 25, was listed with a last known address on Gardendale Drive in Jacksonville. He was wanted for delivery of a controlled substance, resisting police, and driving while his license was revoked. The report also said Austin was wanted in Montgomery County, underscoring how one case can stretch beyond a single jurisdiction in west-central Illinois.

The second man, Adam Lacy, 34, was listed with a last known address in rural Pittsfield. He was wanted for failure to appear in court on a theft case and was also wanted in Pike County. That cross-county pattern is exactly the kind of situation local agencies deal with regularly, especially when suspects have pending matters in more than one court.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office says it has fourteen sworn deputies and provides the statutory law-enforcement services required by the State of Illinois and the county.
