Crimestoppers seeks two Morgan County men on domestic battery warrants
Two men tied to Springfield and Franklin were listed on Morgan-Cass-Scott County Crimestoppers for domestic battery warrants, and anonymous tips could bring cash rewards.

Morgan-Cass-Scott County Crimestoppers put two men on its weekly most-wanted list Monday, highlighting warrants tied to domestic violence, protection-order violations and property crimes that can put families and neighbors at risk.
The first is 29-year-old Vontourius Dickerson, who is wanted on two counts of domestic battery and one count of interfering with a domestic violence report. Crimestoppers said Dickerson’s last known address was on Shale Street in Springfield. He is described as a Black man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with black brush-cut hair and brown eyes.
The second is 35-year-old Dustin Chamberlain, who is wanted for domestic battery, violating an order of protection, theft and criminal damage to property. Crimestoppers said Chamberlain’s last known residence was in Franklin, giving the bulletin a direct Morgan County connection. He is described as a white man, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown brush-cut hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who knows where either man is staying can call 243-7300 or send a tip through the Crimestoppers Facebook page or website. Tips remain anonymous, and the organization says cash rewards may be available if information leads to an arrest. That anonymity is central to the program’s model, especially in smaller communities where a caller may know a suspect through family, work or a shared neighborhood but does not want to get involved publicly.
Crime Stoppers of Morgan, Scott & Cass Counties said it has served local communities for more than 30 years and covers Jacksonville, Beardstown, Arenzville, Virginia, Ashland, Winchester, Bluffs, Meredosia, Waverly, Chapin, Franklin, Alsey and Murrayville. The statewide Illinois Crime Stoppers Association also lists the Morgan, Scott and Cass Counties program as a local unit in Jacksonville.
The weekly bulletin matters because domestic battery cases often escalate when a wanted person stays on the run. In a county where people move between Franklin, Springfield and nearby towns, a neighbor’s tip can be the fastest way to help officers close a warrant and reduce the chance that a volatile case remains unresolved.
