Greenview Woman Sought After Fleeing Menard County Traffic Stop, Eluding Deputies
Jacki C. McLaughlin, 51, gave a fake name to a Menard County deputy, then fled to a Greenview home and vanished before deputies could catch her.

A Menard County deputy recognized 51-year-old Jacki C. McLaughlin from previous encounters when he approached her parked vehicle on Lower Salt Creek Street near the Menard-Mason County line around 7:10 p.m. on Friday, March 13. When asked to confirm her identity, McLaughlin allegedly gave the name of a relative and claimed to be that person.
The deception didn't hold. When the deputy continued questioning her, McLaughlin reportedly fled in the vehicle, leading deputies on a short pursuit that ended at a residence in the 300 block of West Van Buren Street in Greenview. She ran into the home but quickly exited out the other side. Law enforcement searched the residence and surrounding area and could not find her, according to the Menard County Sheriff's Office.
McLaughlin already carried active arrest warrants from two other counties at the time of the stop. McLean County and Macon County both have outstanding warrants for her failure to appear on theft and burglary charges. Menard County officials say they will seek an additional warrant charging aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer.

Anyone who sees McLaughlin is asked to call 911 or reach the Menard County Sheriff's Office directly at 217-632-2273. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Sangamon and Menard Counties at 217-788-8427 or online at cashfortips.us.
