Fergus Falls Man Hurt in Rear-End Crash on Highway 10 in Detroit Lakes
Everett Northup, 56, of Fergus Falls was taken to Essentia Health St. Mary's after his GMC rear-ended a 93-year-old's Chevy on wet Highway 10.

A Fergus Falls man suffered non-life-threatening injuries late Sunday morning when his GMC pickup struck a Chevy pickup from behind on westbound U.S. Highway 10 in Detroit Lakes, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Everett Northup, 56, was heading west on Highway 10 around 11:48 a.m. when his GMC rear-ended the Chevy in the left turn lane to East Shore Drive. Northup was transported to Essentia Health St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes for treatment. Whether he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash remains unknown, troopers said.
The driver of the Chevy, a 93-year-old Detroit Lakes resident whose name was not released, was not hurt. Troopers noted the road was wet at the time of the collision.
The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Becker County Sheriff's Office and Detroit Lakes Police.
