Owsley County Detective Chadd Daniels Honored Statewide for Child Abuse Work
Owsley County Detective Chadd Daniels was named a Legendary Partner by the Children's Advocacy Centers of Kentucky for his work protecting child abuse victims.

Detective Chadd Daniels of Owsley County has been named a Legendary Partner by the Children's Advocacy Centers of Kentucky, a statewide honor recognizing law enforcement and community members who go beyond their formal duties to serve child victims of abuse.
CAC Kentucky empowers 15 regional centers across the Commonwealth to support child abuse victims with resources and care. Each year, the organization selects a small group of individuals from those centers to receive the Legendary Partners distinction. Each of Kentucky's 15 Children's Advocacy Centers nominates individuals with demonstrated commitments to serving children impacted by abuse.
As part of the Legendary Partners ceremony, award recipients are celebrated among fellow colleagues, elected officials, partners, and supporters. Past ceremonies have been held at the Capitol Rotunda in Frankfort, where honorees are recognized before a statewide audience. In addition to the recognition, honorees receive capes and plaques.
The distinction carries real weight in Kentucky's child protection landscape. Last year, CACs in Kentucky served over 7,300 children from all 120 counties across the state. CACs streamline the systemic response to child abuse by offering forensic interviews, victim support, advocacy, medical evaluations, and mental health services at a single child-friendly location.

For Owsley County, one of the most rural and economically challenged counties in the Commonwealth, having a detective recognized at the statewide level underscores the ongoing work being done locally to protect vulnerable children. Children who receive services from a CAC are more likely to receive the medical and mental health services they need to help them heal from their abuse.
Daniels joins a list of law enforcement professionals from across Kentucky who have been singled out for their partnerships with regional advocacy centers. The recognition signals that the work being done out of Booneville reaches well beyond Owsley County's borders and meets the standard of some of the state's most committed child protection advocates.
