Taylor Austin Dye, a country artist hailing from the hollers of Booneville in Owsley County, will bring her music to the Detroit area on May 7, performing at District 142 at 142 Maple St. in Wyandotte, Michigan, with a 7:00 p.m. start time. The show is part of her Damn Good Day Tour, and marks one more mile post in a rise that has taken her well beyond the hills of eastern Kentucky.

Dye has spoken openly about her roots: "I'm originally from Owsley County, Kentucky, which is in southeast Kentucky. I lived there my whole life up until three years ago when I finally made the move to Nashville. I've been playing music full-time here ever since." Her performing career began at age five, right on the stage at Renfro Valley.

The Detroit-area date arrives at a high-water mark for the Booneville singer-songwriter. Her 2023 independent debut, "Out of These Hills," along with a string of viral singles, helped her surpass 43 million streams across platforms and build a fiercely loyal fanbase known as the "Ride or Dyes." In late 2024, Dye released her sophomore album "Sick of Me," an 11-track collection; within days of its November release, the album had already surpassed one million streams.

Industry recognition followed quickly. Dye achieved a lifelong dream when she made her Grand Ole Opry debut on November 9, 2024. In October 2024, she inked a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music, in partnership with LEX Music Group. Building on that momentum, she signed a record deal with Red Street Records, the innovative label founded by Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus.

Dye is charging into 2026 with her latest single, "Man For That," a Southern-sassy, girl-power anthem released via Red Street Records. Earlier in her current run, she hit the road opening for Bryan Martin on his Years In The Making Tour.

The Kentucky native has shared stages with country music legends, including Wynonna Judd, Collin Raye, Aaron Tippin, Deana Carter, Sammy Kershaw, and Tracy Byrd. For a county seat as small as Booneville, that's a roster that commands attention, and the May 7 Wyandotte date signals that her touring footprint is only getting wider.
