Zenith Dickerson, a lifelong Beattyville man who spent his working years as a logger and his later years rooted in the Church of God, departed this life at his home on March 10, 2026. He was 81 years, 6 months, and 5 days old.

Born September 5, 1944, in Beattyville to the late Ted and Dora Cox Dickerson, Zenith spent his entire life in Lee County. He was the husband of Nola Jean Caudill Dickerson.

He is survived by his wife, Nola; his daughter, Vicky Charles, whose husband Greg predeceased him; his son, Nicky Dickerson and wife Becky, also of Beattyville; two grandsons, Chad Charles and Tyler Charles and wife Chantel; and four great-granddaughters, Catherine, Presley, MyKenna, and Laramie Charles, all of Beattyville. His siblings include two sisters, Virginia Stamper Hacker of Alabama and Rena L. Lilly of Florida, and a brother, Eugene Dickerson of Beattyville. Also listed among his survivors is his loyal canine companion, Cinna, and a host of other relatives and friends.
