Being For Others Foundation Seeks Grant Applicants; Perry County Session Jan. 27
Being For Others Foundation is inviting Perry County nonprofits to apply for grants; a public session will be held Jan. 27 in Cannelton to explain opportunities and deadlines.

Being For Others Health & Wellness Foundation is seeking applicants for multiple grant programs that could bring new resources to Perry County health and community services. The foundation, created after the Deaconess / Memorial affiliation and serving eight counties including Perry, held a “lunch and learn” on Jan. 16 and will host a local session on Tuesday, January 27 at 11:30 a.m. CT at The Patio Steakhouse in Cannelton.
The foundation is offering three grant tracks: Community Collaboration Grants, one-year Project Grants, and Rapid Response Grants for urgent needs. Community Collaboration Grants are three-year awards of up to $250,000 designed to support sustained, multi-partner work. One-year Project Grants range from $1,000 to $40,000 for shorter-term projects, and Rapid Response Grants are available for time-sensitive challenges that require quick funding.
Applicants for the Community Collaboration Grant must submit a Letter of Intent by Feb. 27, 2026. Finalists will be invited to present and recipients will be notified in June. These deadlines create a predictable timeline for local organizations planning capacity-building projects, program expansions, or cross-county partnerships that include Perry County residents.
Local nonprofits, health providers, schools, and community groups stand to benefit if they pursue these opportunities. Larger multi-year awards can fund staffing, program evaluation, and infrastructure that increase long-term service capacity. Shorter project grants can jump-start pilot programs or cover equipment and supplies. Rapid Response funding can be especially helpful for immediate community needs, such as sudden service gaps or emergency outreach.

This session in Cannelton gives Perry County organizations a chance to hear details in person, ask questions, and learn how to structure proposals to meet foundation priorities and timelines. The foundation’s regional scope means successful applications may involve partners across nearby counties, encouraging collaboration among small towns and river communities.
To apply or get more information, contact Being For Others staff at (812) 556-0400 or email info@beingforothers.org. For Perry County groups weighing new programs or looking to expand services, the coming weeks are a practical window to plan Letters of Intent and assemble partnerships. The Jan. 27 session and the Feb. 27 deadline set a clear path for local teams to compete for meaningful funding that could shape health and wellness services in the county over the next several years.
