Perry County Central Blanks Morgan County 15-0 in Dominant Home Victory
Pitcher J. Mullins and hitters A. Ratliff, M. Shepherd and M. Holliday powered Perry County Central to a 15-0 rout of Morgan County on March 19.

Perry County Central's Commodores dismantled the Morgan County Cougars 15-0 on March 19, with pitcher J. Mullins and hitters A. Ratliff, M. Shepherd and M. Holliday all turning in standout performances in the shutout victory.
Mullins anchored the effort from the circle, holding Morgan County scoreless through the game while the Commodores' offense did the heavy lifting at the plate. Ratliff, Shepherd and Holliday each drew recognition as key contributors in what amounted to a dominant team performance against the Cougars.
The momentum from that lopsided win proved short-lived, however. Just two days later on Saturday, the Commodores fell to the Mercer County Titans 4-3 in a game that carried its own history. The Titans, who entered with a winless record, came in with a score to settle: Mercer had not forgotten a loss to Perry County Central back in May of 2024 and made it count for their first win of the season.
Mullins again took the ball for Perry County Central, working all seven innings against Mercer County. She held the Titans to five hits and two earned runs, though two additional unearned runs proved enough to decide the outcome. C Moberly provided one of the brighter moments at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one RBI for the Commodores.

The loss dropped Perry County Central to 1-2 on the season. Mercer County, now 1-3, snapped its losing streak with the narrow victory.
Both programs will turn their attention to Southwestern next. The Commodores face the Warriors at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, while the Titans follow at 3:00 p.m. the same day.
