Two Women Shot in Oxon Hill Saturday; Police Search for Suspect
Two women were shot near Neptune Ave. and Audrey Lane in Oxon Hill around 2:50 p.m. Saturday; both were hospitalized in stable condition as police search for the shooter.
Two adult women were found with gunshot wounds near the intersection of Neptune Avenue and Audrey Lane in Prince George's County Saturday afternoon, and the shooter remained at large as of Saturday night.
Cpl. Unique Jones of the Prince George's County Police Department said officers responded around 2:50 p.m. to the area after reports of gunfire. "When officers arrived, they found two women suffering from gunshot wounds," Jones said. Both were transported to a hospital and listed in stable condition.
Media reports described the shooting location differently, with some outlets placing the scene in Oxon Hill and others identifying the neighborhood as Glassmanor. All reports agreed on Neptune Avenue and Audrey Lane as the intersection where officers found the victims.
Police have not released the names or ages of either victim, and no suspect description has been made public. No arrests had been reported as of Saturday night.
