Chick-fil-A Under Construction at Royse City Summit, Opens Early Summer
A Chick-fil-A is under construction at Royse City Summit and projected to open in May or June 2026, part of a wave of new businesses reshaping the city's commercial landscape.

Royse City economic development officials confirmed March 16 that a Chick-fil-A is under construction at the Royse City Summit development, with the restaurant projected to open in May or June 2026.
The announcement came days after Mayor Janet Nichol, Texas State Senator Bob Hall, and members of the Royse City Tri-County Chamber of Commerce gathered for a ribbon cutting at Iron Plow sports bar and restaurant, another recent commercial arrival in the city. About two weeks before that, attendees at the chamber's state of the city luncheon heard a rundown of businesses slated to open sometime in 2026 or 2027.
Chick-fil-A is one of three restaurants currently under construction in Royse City. Chili's and Mavis Discount Tire are also in active construction phases, though neither has a projected opening window as specific as the fast-food chain's early summer target.
The pipeline extends well beyond those three. Pizza Ranch, which will operate as a buffet and arcade concept, and a Waffle House both carry projected completion dates of October 2026. A QuikTrip truck stop is planned for the intersection of Interstate 30 and Farm-to-Market Road 2642, directly across the highway from Buc-ee's, with a projected completion in March 2027. SweetFrog frozen yogurt, Sun Auto Tire & Service, and Caliber Collision are also expected to open in Royse City in the near future, without firm dates attached.

The flurry of commercial activity follows the recent openings of Lowe's and Iron Plow in Royse City, and a separate announcement that Kroger is coming to neighboring Fate.
The Royse City Summit development's street address for the Chick-fil-A has not been publicly released by city officials. No grand opening date or franchisee information has been confirmed.
