Rockwall Parks and Recreation Hosts Spring Eggstravaganza at The Harbor March 28

Rockwall Parks & Recreation is bringing bounce houses, giant slides, carnival games and a live DJ to The Harbor on March 28 for its free Spring Eggstravaganza, a three-hour family festival running from 1 to 4 p.m.

The centerpiece of the afternoon is an Easter Egg Trail where community vendors hand out eggs to children while they play games at vendor booths. Families are encouraged to bring Easter baskets to collect eggs as they move through the event. The full lineup also includes bounce houses, giant slides, carnival games and music from a live DJ.

Both the Spring Eggstravaganza and a companion event earlier in the week are free and open to the public, according to Rockwall Parks & Recreation and the Rockwall Herald Banner.

The companion event, the Special Needs and Adaptive Programming Easter event, runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, at Yellowjacket Park. That gathering is designed to provide a sensory-friendly environment for individuals with special needs and their families, featuring adapted Easter egg hunts tailored to different abilities along with accessible games and activities. The Easter bunny is scheduled to appear. Organizers ask participants to register in advance so staff can plan accommodations; parents and guardians of participants do not need to register separately.

The Spring Eggstravaganza is listed on the City of Rockwall Parks & Recreation annual events calendar alongside a lineup that stretches through the rest of 2026: the Rockwall Farmers Market returns Saturday mornings from May through September, the Founders Day Festival marks the city's 172nd birthday on May 16 in Downtown Rockwall and Harry Myers Park, the Independence Day Celebration on July 4 includes a downtown parade, parachute jumpers and fireworks, and Scare on the Square is scheduled for October 24.
