Farmington Chamber highlights summer events and upcoming women’s summit

Tickets for the Farmington Chamber of Commerce’s Professional Women’s Summit will go on sale Aug. 3, and Jamie Church used a July 15 KSJE segment to preview a new breakout session led by keynote speaker Sarah Elkins. Church also put Business After Hours at Lauter Haus on the chamber’s summer calendar and recapped two recent events, Tees & Tunes and Music by the Pond, that helped keep Farmington’s business scene visible through the middle of July.

Church’s update was aimed squarely at the local business community in Farmington and across San Juan County. Along with event promotion, she discussed the chamber’s advocacy work, its business blog and its networking programs, a mix that gives small businesses more than a social calendar. Owners trying to meet customers, recruit employees or build referral networks have the most to gain from events that bring together business leaders, workers and residents in the same room.

The Professional Women’s Summit remains the chamber’s highest-profile women-focused event. Its materials describe the Four Corners Professional Women’s Summit as a full-day summit to inspire, connect, network and develop professional leadership skills. Those same event listings have placed the summit and the Speed Networking/VIP Reception at the Farmington Civic Center, 200 W. Arrington, in downtown Farmington, giving attendees a central location for the kind of face-to-face contact that can lead to hiring, sales and professional advancement.

Church’s July update also landed in a busy civic season. KSJE’s Freedom Days calendar marked Farmington’s Independence Day celebration as being in its 40th year, with events running July 1-5, 2026. The schedule included a flag dedication ceremony, July 3 fireworks and the July 4 Electric Light Parade, all reminders that summer in Farmington tends to stack community events, downtown traffic and business opportunities in the same stretch of days.

For Chamber members and nonmembers alike, the immediate calendar now turns to Business After Hours at Lauter Haus and the women’s summit ticket release on Aug. 3. Those are the next points where local owners, employees and professionals can turn a chamber event into a contact, a customer or a new line of business.
