Corrales police report DUI arrest, warrant stop and vandalism complaint
Three arrests, one warrant stop and a Bosque equipment-vandalism complaint showed Corrales police focusing on traffic enforcement and property security.

A registration stop on West Meadowlark turned into a warrant arrest, and two separate impaired-driving cases followed on Corrales roads as police flagged a week shaped by traffic enforcement and property-security concerns.
The Corrales Police Department’s May 18 update said officers stopped a vehicle about 1 a.m. May 16 on the 1100 block of West Meadowlark for a registration violation. The driver, a 37-year-old Rio Rancho woman, was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant from Rio Rancho Municipal Court for failure to appear on a prior traffic issue. Police booked her on the warrant after the stop.

Another traffic case from May 11 began near 500 Jones Road, where officers responded to a report of erratic driving. They found the driver parked nearby, contacted him, and determined that the 48-year-old Albuquerque man was under the influence of alcohol. Officers later saw him drive past, then fail sobriety testing, and arrested him for aggravated DUI.
A second DUI arrest came the evening of May 16 on Corrales Road at Camino de Las Brisas. Police said field sobriety tests and a breath test showed a 30-year-old Rio Rancho woman was over the legal limit, leading to her arrest for DUI.
The update also included a vandalism complaint filed May 14 involving unattended heavy equipment at a work site near Siphon Road in the Bosque. Police urged residents and contractors to secure materials and use cameras, alarms, lights and personnel where possible, especially at exposed job sites where theft or damage can happen quickly.
The enforcement action fit a broader pattern in Corrales police updates, which have repeatedly centered on traffic stops, warrants, theft prevention and scam alerts. That emphasis tracks with New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division guidance that DWI cases unfold through separate judicial and administrative processes, and that an adult breath-alcohol reading of .08 or higher can support administrative revocation of driving privileges.
Police also pointed residents to Coffee With a Cop, scheduled for May 21 at Frontier Market, 3677 Corrales Road, from 9 to 10 a.m. The gathering gives neighbors and officers a chance to talk without a formal agenda, part of a weekly public-safety message that mixes enforcement with reminders to lock up property and stay alert on village roads.
